Kathryn L. Briuglio, Associate
Katie Briuglio’s practice focuses on admiralty and maritime litigation and insurance defense. Katie handles a wide variety of disputes in both state and federal court, including claims under general maritime law, the Jones Act, and the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, as well as insurance coverage and extra-contractual claims. She has also worked on several appeals to Louisiana appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Prior to joining MBLB, Katie gained valuable experience dealing with a range of cases, teaching her the importance of effective communication, preparation, and skillful collaboration. “I am committed to building lasting relationships with my clients that are founded on trust, understanding, and clear communication. I am readily accessible to my clients at every phase of litigation. Their legal concerns are my priority, and I afford each case with the utmost diligence and attention to achieve the best results for my clients”
Katie attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude and earned certificates in Social Justice and Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship.
Katie is a native of New Orleans, and graduated from St. Mary’s Dominican High School and Louisiana State University before going to law school. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, cheering on the New Orleans Saints, and spending time with friends and family, including her cat, Olive.
