Community
We are committed to giving back to the community.
Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett’s attorneys and staff are committed to giving back to the community and volunteering for a variety of non-profit organizations.
MBLB has formally adopted the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) as the firm’s philanthropic charity. Each year the firm’s Marching 4 McFaull team participates in the JDRF One Walk in honor of our colleague Jordan McFaull, who died from complications of Type 1 Diabetes. Jordan was an industrious and resourceful attorney and a cheerful addition to our firm. He is missed by everyone with whom he worked. Marching 4 McFaull walks to help JDRF continue to fund life-changing type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and create a world without T1D. MBLB matches the funds raised by our 20-member team.
MBLB was also happy to partner with the JDRF One Walk in 2020 as a corporate sponsor for the event. That year the Marching 4 McFaull team, as well as individual member Alan Brackett, earned recognition in the Fearle$$ 50, which represents the top 50 fundraising teams and individuals for 2020’s JDRF One Walk. Of the 91 teams that joined the walk in 2019, Marching for McFaull was the number one donor.
About Jordan McFaull
Jordan McFaull, who was a graduate of Tulane University and Loyola University College of Law, joined Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett after passing the bar in 2014. He passed away unexpectedly in 2015 as a result of complications from Type 1 Diabetes.
As Jordan’s father, Rod McFaull, wrote to us after the 2016 One Walk,
“Diabetes is a devastating disease, much more than people realize. I am so thankful for the firm’s willingness to help defeat this terrible disease in Jordan’s name. As the firm’s goal kept rising and being met and then surpassed again, I sensed Jordan’s spirit saying: … ‘press on, press on, and don’t stop.’”
