Member Alan G. Brackett will once again act as a moderator at the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law 2019 Annual Longshore Conference being held March 21-22. The two-day program is for maritime practitioners and industry professionals seeking proficiency in the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA), Defense Base Act (DBA), and other “extension” acts. This conference provides both a great learning platform and networking opportunity for attorneys and claims professionals.
Member Simone Yoder will be speaking on a panel entitled, “Annuities, Medicare Set-Asides and the Implications for Settlements Under the Act.” The panel will discuss the importance of future medical cost projections and the protection of Medicare’s interests during the settlement process.
