Associate Taylor Tran is lacing up his high-tops in preparation for the New Orleans Bar Association Full Court Press basketball tournament on Saturday, March 4. Judge Paula Brown has challenged Captain Cayce Peterson to this legal B-Ball Showdown! The Tournament is a benefit for the New Orleans Bar Foundation’s Veterans Justice Fellowship. Taylor will be playing for Judge Brown, no doubt sinking threes and making layups, as he and his fellow teammates raise money for this worthy cause.

About the Veterans Justice Fellowship
The New Orleans Bar Association (NOBA) and New Orleans Bar Foundation (NOBF) created the prestigious Veterans Justice Fellowship to serve the unaddressed civil legal needs that adversely impact the lives of the 25% of New Orleans area veterans who are low-income. A recent survey of veterans found that five of their top ten overall unmet needs needed the help of a lawyer in the areas of housing law, consumer issues, discharge upgrades, child support, and removal of legal barriers to employment. To address the civil justice gap confronting New Orleans area veterans, NOBA and NOBF created the Veterans Justice Fellowship. The Fellow serves veterans as a Southeast Louisiana Legal Services lawyer, embedded in the new VA hospital, who partners with community service providers who serve veterans.
