Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett and Nalley, Dew and Miner Announce Merger

Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett, LLC (MBLB) and Nalley, Dew and Miner, LLC (Nalley) have agreed to merge effective April 14, 2025, continuing under the name of Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett, LLC. The merger brings together two defense firms that have decades of experience handling claims in the insurance, maritime, transportation, and workers’ compensation practice areas. With the addition of Nalley’s attorneys, including founder George J. Nalley, Jr., MBLB will be able to offer greater resources, enhanced industry knowledge and expanded reach in key locations to its clients in both Louisiana and beyond the Gulf South.

Alan G. Brackett will continue to serve as the managing member of MBLB. “I’ve known and respected George for the past forty years. He has built a great firm with practice areas that mirror those at MBLB. Our firms are a natural fit and I know we will continue to offer our and Nalley’s clients exceptional service long into the future.”

George Nalley echoed these sentiments, stating, “I have had a collegial relationship with the founders of the Mouledoux firm since the early days. They are a fine, well-respected group of attorneys. I am looking forward to the opportunity to merge our firms, as they will provide us with additional attorneys and resources to provide even better services to our clients. Their client base, as well as their philosophy on the practice of law, will mesh well with ours.”

Nalley’s attorneys and staff will relocate to MBLB’s offices in the Hancock Whitney Center (701 Poydras St., Suite 600) in downtown New Orleans.

Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett recently expanded to Chicago, Illinois, and also has an office in Lafayette, Louisiana. The addition of the attorneys from Nalley brings the defense firm’s total attorney count to 60 lawyers.
