Lejla Alibasic, Associate
Lejla Alibasic’s practice focuses on the defense of employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.
A native of Bosnia, Lejla came to the United States as a refugee, witnessing firsthand the legal system’s inherent nuances and adopting a desire to help others navigate those complexities. Alexa N. Buechler, Associate
Alexa Buechler’s areas of practice include the defense of employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.
Alexa graduated summa cum laude from Arizona Statue University, where she attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. “My undergraduate studies have helped prepare me for the field of law. Daniel R. Estrada, Of Counsel
Daniel Estrada is an experienced litigator whose practice is concentrated in insurance defense litigation with an emphasis in admiralty/maritime, general casualty, premises liability, products liability, and subrogation/recovery actions. Additionally, Daniel has experience in insurance coverage analysis and opinion and asbestos/silica/toxic torts.
During his years of extensive practice, Daniel has represented insurers as well as national and regional automobile, manufacturing and retail companies. He approaches each matter with the mindset of obtaining the best result for his client. He thinks outside of the box, tailoring his strategy to his client’s needs and expectations, whether that means obtaining an early beneficial resolution or litigating the matter to trial and appeal. “I am a great listener. Samantha E. Kaplan, Member
Samantha Kaplan’s practice focuses on defending employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.
Samantha began her career in state and federal civil litigation defense. Her years of experience defending LHWCA, DBA and WHCA claims, as well as employment law, medical malpractice and premises liability cases, is an asset to the firm’s clients.
Samantha has developed a reputation in the Defense Base Act practice area for achieving favorable results. Her proactive and engaged approach allows Samantha to understand her clients’ objectives and devise strategies aligned with their expectations. “In our industry, timing can be critical. Anna “Annie” E. Weldon, Associate

Prior to joining Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett, Annie gained valuable experience handling misdemeanor and felony cases at the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s office as an Assistant District Attorney and law clerk.
