ABOUT KALEYN’S FIGHT
The mission of the organization is to assist families during Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) stays and provide ongoing support to local NICUs, ensuring that each family has the best possible experience during their difficult time. Kaylen’s Fight was created to honor the founders’ daughter, Kaylen, who passed away in 2018 from hydrops fetalis. Kaylen’s twin sister, Kamdyn, spent 63 days in the NICU due to prematurity but is now a thriving, healthy six year old – thanks to the wonderful care and support she received from her NICU friends that are now family.
Since establishing Kaylen’s Fight in 2019, Kaylen’s Fight has raised in excess of $250,000 for the families at the same NICU where their founder’s twins spent their first days. In five years, they have jump started and maintained the Beads of Courage program, donated goodie bags for holidays, created bereavement boxes for families experiencing infant loss, and provided care packages for over 350 families with prolonged NICU stays.
