Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett was happy to be a sponsor of the 31st Annual Gala and Scholarship Awards Grand Masquerade Ball hosted by the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Illinois. Brenda Alvarez, who is an attorney in the Chicago office and a Board Member and Assistant Treasurer of the organization, attended the event which was held on November 8th at Fountain Blue Banquets & Conference Center in Des Plaines.
The PRBA awards scholarships to qualified law students who have completed at least one year of law school. In awarding scholarships, PRBA considers financial needs, academic achievement, and involvement in the Latino community/institutions of higher learning. Proceeds from this year’s gala will fund five scholarships.
About the PRBA
The PRBA is committed to advocating for diversity in the Illinois bar and among the students and faculty of Illinois law schools; to influence legislation and policies that are relevant to the common interests of Latino lawyers statewide; and to provide a professional and social network and support system for the lawyers, judges, and law students who advocate and share a common interest in diversity within the bar.
The PRBA plans to promote its purposes by championing diversity on the bench, in the bar, in the legislature and in law schools; hosting CLE’s and other substantive seminars that will serve to enhance the legal skills of our lawyers; and encourage the success of the law students.
