MBLB Sponsors Loyola Law’s Black Law Student Association 19th Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala

BLSA Gala 2024Mouledoux Bland Legrand & Brackett was proud to be a sponsor of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law’s Black Law Student Association 19th Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala. Proceeds raised from ticket purchases and silent auction items assist in funding both the Semora “Lola Bartholomew” Davis Scholarship and the Nadine Laurent Scholarship funds. State Senator Royce Duplessis was the guest speaker for this year’s gala, which was held on February 24, 2024, in the St. Charles Room at Loyola University New Orleans.

BLSA posted a lovely message on their Instagram account, thanking sponsors. “From the depth of our hearts to the brilliance of the stars, a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors for making BLSA’s ‘Starlight Soirée’ shine. Your support isn’t just a contribution; it’s a constellation of shared dreams and aspirations. Together, we light up the night.”

Black Law Student Association

Black Law Student Association (BLSA), A.P. Tureaud Chapter, established in 1969, is geared to recruiting and maintaining the enrollment of black students in the Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law. Members of the organization recruit black students from colleges and universities throughout the region. Tutorial services are also offered to help maintain the enrollment level of black students. The society, open to all interested law students, maintains contact with related national organizations and other law schools throughout the country that support similar programs.
