MBLB Sponsors 2024 Loyola Maritime Law Journal Banquet

Loyola Maritime Law Journal banquetMouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett was proud to be a sponsor of the 2024 Loyola Maritime Law Journal Banquet, which was held on April 11, 2024. Katie Briuglio, Tyler Loga, Abby Unsworth and Linda Castanz attended the annual banquet, which honors the present and incoming board and all members of the Journal.

The law students and faculty members of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law always do a tremendous job putting on the event. The Honorable Brandon Long, the newly appointed United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana, was the keynote speaker. From the welcoming comments of Dean Mary Alegro, to Judge Long’s comments, to a thoughtful presentation by Professor Ben Allums, it was a very special night.

A highlight of the evening was the opportunity to get to know future attorneys who will soon make their mark on the legal community. Many thanks to Professor Arthur Crais, Jr. for his future lawyer referrals!

About the Loyola Maritime Law Journal

The history of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal rests in the old volumes of The American Mariner (AM. MAR. L.J.), a Journal once published annually by the students of Loyola University College of Law.

In 2002, under the leadership of then Editor-in-Chief, Robert Guidry, this journal received the blessing of Loyola University College of Law and was named the Loyola Maritime Law Journal. The Journal is a scholarly journal which is published bi-annually and provides an avenue for research and writing by practitioners, faculty, and students in the dynamic and exciting fields of maritime law. It publishes articles, student comments, and casenotes that provide the legal and academic community with a scholarly perspective on the issues facing a diverse and international industry.
