For the second year in a row, attorneys at Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett fired up the grill and mixed up cocktails during the NOBA Annual Bar & Grille Cooking Competition. The event, which was held on April 22, 2023, at the Peristyle at City Park, was hosted by the Young Lawyers Section of the New Orleans Bar Association (NOBA). The Bar & Grille law firm cooking competition is a fundraiser for the Veterans Justice Fellowship. This prestigious fellowship provides life-changing civil legal help to address the needs of low-income veterans in the New Orleans area.
It was fun last year; but this year, Team MBLB came to win! Lead by our co-captains, Alex Domingue and Tyler Loga, Ava Wolf, Katie Fox, Hank Greenberg, Mike Neuner, and Quinn Hamilton, submitted our Hawaiian themed items: seared tuna over Hawaiian coleslaw, Chocolate Kahlua Cupcakes, and a classic Mai Tai cocktail. Our fierce (and very friendly) competitors from other New Orleans law firms kept the competition stiff with dishes like sliders, crawfish bread, a pimento cheese sandwich, and a fried gumbo ball (yes, you read that right). We were proud to take home the 3rd Place Cocktail honor for Katie Fox’s Mai Tai!
Team MBLB supporters Abby Unsworth, Alan Brackett, Edward McAuliffe, Gerard Dragna, John Zazulak, Katie Briuglio, Mike Parks, Simone Yoder, Trevor Cutaiar, and Linda Castanza (as well as several significant others) braved the sunny weather to cheer on Team MBLB and sample the dishes and cocktails from the competitors. A good time was had for a great cause!
