Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett was thrilled to attend the Propeller Club of the U.S. Port of New Orleans 89th Annual Maritime Person of the Year Gala, where our good friend Cherrie Felder was honored. Cherrie is the Vice President of Channel Shipyard Companies and is also the regatta chairman for the Defenders Challenge Regatta held each Memorial Day at the Southern Yacht Club. For the last 12 years, MBLB has sponsored the regatta, which recognizes the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families, for their devotion to duty and willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice so that we all may enjoy liberty.
The gala was held at Metairie Country Club on Wednesday, October 25th. Attorneys Will Bland, Georges Legrand, Alan Brackett, Dan Hoerner, Mike Neuner, Katie Briuglio and Katie Gonsoulin were in attendance.
The Propeller Club of the United States chartered on November 7, 1927, is a non-profit organization, whose membership is representative of every aspect of the maritime industry and whose members reside throughout the United States and the world.
The organization is dedicated to the enhancement and well being of all interests of the maritime community on local, national, and international basis. It promotes private sector enterprises in ownership and operation of waterborne and inter-modal transportation systems, including associated industries, within the United States and between the United States and its trading partners.
The Propeller Club – Port of New Orleans is comprised of hundreds of individuals representing dozens of organizations in the New Orleans maritime community.
