Associates Grace Babin, Aaron Broussard, Anna Dedeaux, Sara Dramis, Craig Gardiner, Dylan Madere, and Hannah Perret were excited to attend the Malcolm Monroe Federal Practice Seminar and Swearing-In Ceremony on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The CLE was presented by the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (NOFBA) at the United States District Court Eastern District of Louisiana.

The annual program is ideal for newly admitted attorneys to the practice of law or any attorney who wants to be admitted to practice to the federal court system in Louisiana.

As Sara said about her experience, “I enjoyed how interactive the seminar was. Learning about legal ethics in the courthouse added an exceptionally realistic element. Between receiving advice from former federal judicial law clerks, gaining insights how to navigate being a young associate in a firm, and exploring the role of implicit biases, I acquired valuable skills that will help me throughout my career. The holiday party with practicing attorneys and judges after the seminar was also a great networking opportunity. I am looking forward to more FBA events.”

Dylan added, “Through the Malcolm Monroe CLE, I learned valuable information and tips related to practicing in the federal courts within Louisiana. In particular, the presentation given by former clerks from every federal district court in Louisiana, as well as from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, provided me with insight into what to look out for when practicing before these courts, including the different local rules applicable to each district, common pet peeves regarding brief writing, and tips to elevate candor with the courts.”
