On February 21, 2026, Louisiana alumni of the LCLD joined forces with The Pro Bono Project and a legal aid clinic founded by the Hon. Dana Douglas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to deliver legal services to residents of the historic Tremé neighborhood. Volunteers from Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett included LCLD Alumna Ashley M. DeMouy, Katie Fox, Shelby Knight, Tyffani L. Leveque, Hannah Perret, and Carter Sayers.

The event was hosted at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, which for more than a decade has served as a cornerstone for community-based legal outreach in New Orleans. The clinic offers free assistance across a wide range of practice areas, including wills and succession planning, housing, employment, immigration, and criminal matters.

The February clinic drew strong participation from the legal community, with 18 volunteer attorneys providing counsel to approximately 40 community members. Organizers noted that the collaboration reflects a sustained commitment to expanding access to justice and meeting residents where they are, particularly in historically underserved communities.
