MBLB Serves Community Through Grace At the Green Light

Grace At the Green LightMouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett’s Pro Bono & Philanthropy Committee has arranged for members of our firm to serve our community through Grace At the Green Light. This morning, our MBLB team started the day by helping to serve breakfast to our community’s most vulnerable, unhoused population. Together with the organization’s staff and volunteers from Archbishop Rummel High School, we were able to serve 178 people.

The mission of Grace At the Green Light is to offer New Orleans’ unhoused population choices while providing for their basic needs (water, food, clothing and community) in a loving manner that embraces the human spirit. Our team is humbled to join its mission.

Our team first volunteered at Grace At the Green Light for our first annual Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who said, “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” This is the third time we have volunteered at the organization and we will return on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

About Grace at The Green Light

Grace At the Green Light is a 501c3 that has been hard at work changing the culture of our great city since June 1st, 2014. Every day, its mission is to provide care for the people who need it the most. We’ve all seen someone down and out looking for a little hope at the green lights, and as we speed away to our lives, they’re still there. The organization hopes to provide essentials to not only help the homeless in New Orleans, but to show them there are people out there who do care about them.
