MBLB Has Raised $108,615 for Breakthrough T1D Diabetes Research

Breakthrough T1D One WalkMouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett’s walk team, Marching 4 McFaull, once again participated in the Breakthrough T1D Walk (formerly the JDRF One Walk), the world’s largest fundraising and community-building event for the Type 1 Diabetes community. Marching 4 McFaull joined 222 other teams at LaFreniere Park in Metairie, Louisiana, on November 16, 2024. This year, our team, led by Katie Fox, was the number two corporate donor, raising a total of $8,615.00 for the cause.

Nine years ago, MBLB started participating in the Breakthrough T1D Walk as a tribute to our forever colleague, Jordan McFaull, who passed away from Type 1 Diabetes in 2015. Since then, we have raised $108,615 for this foundation that is so close to our hearts.

MBLB has adopted Breakthrough T1D as one of the firm’s philanthropic charities, and we are privileged to partner with such a great organization that has made such a difference in so many lives.

ABOUT JORDAN MCFAULL

Jordan McFaull, who was a graduate of Tulane University and Loyola University College of Law, joined MBLB after passing the bar in 2014. He passed away unexpectedly in 2015 as a result of complications from Type 1 Diabetes. Jordan was an industrious and resourceful attorney and a cheerful addition to our firm. He is missed by everyone with whom he worked.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

As Jordan’s father, Rod McFaull, wrote to us after the 2016 One Walk,

“Diabetes is a devastating disease, much more than people realize. I am so thankful for the firm’s willingness to help defeat this terrible disease in Jordan’s name. As the firm’s goal kept rising and being met and then surpassed again, I sensed Jordan’s spirit saying: “… press on, press on, and don’t stop.”

Thank you to everyone who supported the cause and our friend, Jordan!
