Samantha E. Kaplan, Member
Member Samantha Kaplan’s practice focuses on defending employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.
Samantha began her career in state and federal civil litigation defense. Her years of experience defending LHWCA, DBA and WHCA claims, as well as employment law, medical malpractice and premises liability cases, is an asset to the firm’s clients.
Samantha has developed a reputation in the Defense Base Act practice area for achieving favorable results. Her proactive and engaged approach allows Samantha to understand her clients’ objectives and devise strategies aligned with their expectations. “In our industry, timing can be critical. I am always available to take a call or answer any questions my clients may have.”
Samantha’s practice group is based in the Chicagoland area, where she resides with her family, including her three daughters. Samantha enjoys travelling, live music, and spending time with her family.
