Joshua J. Spencer, Associate
Joshua Spencer’s practice focuses on an admiralty, general casualty, and insurance defense. Joshua represents vessel owners, employers, contractors, and insurers in claims related to offshore, onshore, and inland operations.
Prior to joining MBLB, Joshua defended medical malpractice claims. This experience provides him with a valuable perspective on the pathologic aspects of medical claims, and has helped him to establish extensive connections in the medical-legal world. “I am diligent in my approach to the investigation of claims and keep my clients informed throughout the litigation process so that I can bring their matters to a successful resolution.”
While attending Tulane University Law School, Joshua was a member of the Sports Law Journal and was proud to intern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana, where he focused on civil fraud claims. He concentrated his studies on E-Discovery, with particular attention to legacy information systems and data storage. This background helps him ensure that no stone is left unturned in the search for relevant evidence and information.
In his personal time, Joshua enjoys spending time with his wife and son, cooking, exercising, and fishing. While originally from Germany, Joshua has spent over fourteen years in New Orleans and is honored to call it home.
