Jazmine A. Duarte, Of Counsel

Jazmine Duarte is an accomplished civil litigator and trial attorney, whose practice focuses on trucking, transportation, and insurance defense litigation. Additionally, she has extensive experience in personal and commercial auto insurance coverage analysis and litigation.

Prior to joining Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett, Jazmine worked for nearly three decades in the staff counsel department of a top national insurance carrier, where she defended personal and commercial auto lawsuits throughout the state of Louisiana. Additionally, she served in a legal management capacity for ten years, as managing attorney of one of the Louisiana staff counsel offices; and in an executive-level leadership capacity for about eight years, where she was responsible for developing and directing the litigation strategy for over 6,500 active lawsuits across eleven states and for leading the management of 23 legal offices in the East and Southeast regions.

Jazmine leverages her litigation and leadership experience to zealously represent her clients. She uses aggressive pre-trial motion practice to simplify pertinent issues in cases and to obtain favorable results for her clients at the earliest opportunity in the litigation. Throughout her decades of practice, Jazmine has successfully argued close to two hundred motions for summary judgment in Louisiana state and federal courts. “I use the strong communication and interpersonal skills that I have developed in my leadership roles to understand my clients’ needs, develop strong professional relationships with them, and advocate for them at every stage of the litigation process.”

Jazmine is bilingual (English and Spanish) and bicultural. She loves everything New Orleans and everything Latin. She has been married for over 32 years to the love of her life, and they have two adult sons. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She is deeply involved in her church, as an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister for many decades.
