Hannah R. Perret, Associate

Hannah Perret’s practice focuses on the defense of employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.

While attending Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Hannah gained practical legal experience as a Legal Clerk for the YWCA of Greater Baton Rouge and Legal Intern at the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office. While obtaining her undergraduate degree in Criminology, Hannah gained experience as the Victim Assistance Coordinator at the Office of the District Attorney in Baton Rouge. “This hands-on experience, conducting legal research, observing court proceedings, and working as a liaison with clients has been invaluable. I have developed the necessary skills to problem-solve and be a fierce advocate for my defense clients.”

Hannah was highly involved in student activities during law school. She participated in the LSU Law Trial Advocacy Program, an academic honor awarded to students who have demonstrated commitment to and excellence in trial advocacy and alternative dispute resolution. Her exemplary performance resulted in her being chosen as one of only 18 students selected for membership in the LSU Law chapter of the Wex Malone Inns of Court. She also served as the class representative for the LSU Law Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and was active in the Student Mentorship Program.

Hannah is a Louisiana native who has lived in and around New Orleans her entire life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her dog Lilo, going to Pilates with her friends, traveling, and attending concerts and sporting events.
