Courtney E. A. Sylvester, Associate

Courtney Sylvester’s practice focuses on the defense of employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.

Courtney’s biggest strengths lie in her analysis of the information specific to each individual claim and the work product she produces based on her analysis. Her meticulous attention to detail allows her to produce thorough and persuasive support for her clients’ positions.

She has an outgoing personality and establishes rapport easily with others. Client satisfaction is one of her highest priorities. “I believe the best way to achieve client satisfaction entails two main factors. The first is always being available to speak with my clients and answer any questions they may have accurately and completely. The second is to provide my clients with all of the information that they need in order to make the most informed decision in their claim.”

Courtney is originally from Natchitoches, Louisiana, where her father still practices law as an attorney and her mother is a district court judge. She is a die-hard LSU fan and loves participating in the Krewe of Barkus with her Yorkie-Poo, Kappy.
