Anna “Annie” E. Weldon, Associate
Annie Weldon’s practice focuses on the defense of employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.
Prior to joining Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett, Annie gained valuable experience handling misdemeanor and felony cases at the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s office as an Assistant District Attorney and law clerk. The courtroom, trial, administrative, and legislative experiences she gained are invaluable to the firm’s clients. “My experience as an ADA has furthered my resilience and determination to zealously fight for my defense clients.”
Annie was highly involved in student organizations while attending Mississippi College School of Law. She was a member of the Women’s Student Law Association as well as the Civil Law Society. She also helped organize charity events and performed community service.
Annie is a native New Orleanian. She appreciates the many opportunities to perform community service with her colleagues at MBLB for a variety of organizations in the city. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, husband and dog.
