Aaron M. Broussard, Associate

Aaron Broussard’s practice focuses on the defense of employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.

While attending Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, Aaron volunteered for Court Watch Nola, where he observed and reported on whether Orleans Parish Criminal Court judges, prosecutors, public defenders were doing their jobs transparently, ethically, and constitutionally. He was also a law clerk for a plaintiff firm, handling DBA and LHWCA claims, experience that he leverages for his defense clients.

“My prior experience clerking on the claimant side of DBA and LHWCA claims provides valuable insight into how these cases are developed, evaluated, and pursued. That experience now gives me a unique perspective on the defense side, allowing me to anticipate claimant strategies and effectively defend my clients.”

Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, Aaron now lives in New Orleans. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, playing golf, working out at the gym, and watching sports.
