Member Wilton Bland, III has been invited to make a presentation at the Maritime Risk Claims Solutions, Inc. (MRCS) 2019 5th Annual Fall Seminar & Event on being held November 7, 2019 at Grady V’s America Bistro Restaurant in Thibodaux, Louisiana. This year’s seminar will take a closer look into vessel maintenance, repair and loss records as well as an in-depth look into charters, from conducting charter surveys to discussions on charter contracts. Will will be presenting a talk about the elements of vessel charter contracts, indemnity and maintenance clauses.
The following day, November 8, 2019, at the same location, MRCS will host a Cook Off for a Cause. This year’s competition will be a gumbo cook off.

Will’s practice focuses on maritime personal injury defense, maritime collision and property damage insurance coverage, contractual indemnity, longshore matters, transportation defense, and general litigation. His clients have included both Fortune 500 and local one-boat companies, and he regularly represents vessel operators, shipyards, both brown water and offshore, oilfield operators, and their insurers in matters involving personal injury, collisions, sinkings, products liability, toxic torts, and contractual disputes.
