Jon B. Robinson


Jon is a Member at Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett.  He joined the firm in 2006, after graduating from the Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law.  Jon’s nationwide practice focuses on the representation and defense of employers and insurance carriers in all matters arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (“LHWCA”), the Defense Base Act (“DBA”), and the War Hazards Compensation Act (“WHCA”) team.  He has served as lead trial and lead appellate attorney on numerous LHWCA and DBA cases, and he has sucessfully recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients pursuant to the WHCA.

In addition to his practice, Jon edits and contributes to the award-winning Navigable Waters: A Maritime, Longshore and Defense Base Act Blog (http://navwaters.com).  He also speaks at professional conferences and contributes scholarly articles on legal developments important to the Longshore community.  And as a service to his clients, Jon conducts seminars and provides written training materials discussing the administration and adjudication of LHWCA, DBA and WHCA claims.

While in law school, Jon was a Member of the Loyola Law Review.  He authored two articles, both of which were selected for publication.  Jon’s Casenote won the Loyola Law Review’s Best Casenote Award for 2005-2006.  Prior to law school, Jon attended Louisiana State University, where he double majored in Creative Writing and History.

Jon is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts, as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits.  He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the DOL-Joint Bar Association.
